The Double Threats: A Celebration of Composer/Lyricists successfully premiered at New York City’s legendary music club Don’t Tell Mama in fall 2015. In an exclusive local engagement, vocalist and longtime Theatre Jacksonville executive director Sarah Boone brings home her new solo cabaret act devoted to the talents of uniquely gifted songwriters who have contributed to the Great American Songbook. From the 1930’s to present day, these special few have written both the music and the lyrics to classic standards as well as little known treasures. It’s a sophisticated, touching, and occasionally hilarious evening of song and history in tribute to these wonderful artists, the Double Threats of the music world.
